Work Experience

Product Manager at Railsware, Dec 2012 - Present

Served as the Product Manager within the Labs division where we've focused on running experiments and exploring future products, supported current prototypes and paid products. Mainly focused on business and organization design and related practices. Here it was a lot of testing different concepts, customer development, quick iterations, prototyping and thinking on how to establish products within markets.

- Roadmap definition, scheduling, resources allocation

- Prototyping and customer development

- HTML/CSS, some JS coding when it's necessary (Ruby on Rails / Node.js stack)

Except doing hands-on product management I've also lead few initiatives and teams in the company during that period:

 - Established Objective Key Results (OKR) approach in the company. Supported all the processes related to it from start to finish including setup, quarterly reviews, check-ins and grading.

- Acted as the design leader as an additional responsibility: supported and evolved designers, made hiring decisions, ran workshops for tools and processes, mentorship and 1-1's, external promotion.

- Initiated the company internationalization move and lead the research phase of it

Product Manager at Playhem, Oct 2009 - Dec 2012

Playhem was a leading online competitive gaming site. The idea was to create big gaming hub where gamers can watch how others play, compete for points and real-life rewards or compete for cold cash in head-to-head games and tournaments. We've supported a handful of games: EA's FIFA, NHL, Madden, Starcraft 2, League of Legends, Texas Hold'em Poker (first HTML5 poker game) and Street Fighter!

— Started with a smaller team of 2 engineers and 1 QA and worked up all the way to managing the whole development team of 17 people at the peak

— Focus on product strategy and product development

— Managed cross-functional team in a fast-paced and agile environment including running all day-to-day operations, standups, retrospective, planning meetings

— Provided mentorship and ongoing support to team members (including 1-1's and monthly check-ups)

— Gathered requirements, ran workshops and brainstorming sessions

— Owned all products roadmaps, made sure they are up-to-date and executed

— Prototyped all major interactions and coded up bits of it when it was needed

— Ran separate support and admin team to support ongoing site activities and tournaments

— Managed integrations and API negotiations with all major publishers and other gaming sites (including OperationSports, Destructoid, Blizzard, EA and others)
