I was mainly responsible for process owner during the first 3 years and was in charge of team lead and CVD process integration in the last year.

1. TEL SOD process owner 

• Responsible for the conversion of new material. This conversion would affect post Dry Etch process. By cooperating with Dry Etch team members, we found the best yield and finished the conversion which achieved over 1 million USD per year in cost reduction and 1.3 % yield improvement. 
• I was familiar with the process of SOD, understanding the purpose of each step, optimizing recipe, and increasing the capacity for 1000 wafers per week. 
• In charge of material dispense reduction project, finding out the best parameter combination without process deviation at dispense reduction condition by DOE.
  

2. LAM Carbon process owner 

• Owning to the understanding of the process, I reduced process defects by optimizing recipe. 
• Analyzed defects and helped clarify defect forming source step.
  

3. Advance Technology Engineering 

• I was promoted to ATE department and sent to the United States to be in charge of new technology transfer for CVD process, mainly for TEL(SOD), LAM(Carbon, TEOS, Striker Carbide) process transfer. Also, I led the team to keep the progress going well. 
• After the new technology transfer, I was led CVD MOL loop with 4 members to allocate projects, execute, and control project schedule. 
• Training 2 new employees mainly on system operation, process and data analysis. 
• LAM carbon process integration project: Reviewed process differences between new and old products. Cooperate with vendors to optimized and integrated recipe for carbon process. The biggest achievement was the integration with Taoyuan fab. 
• AMAT Precision new tool conversion: I was mainly in charge of the conversion of new tools which usually affect post process. By cooperating with Photo, Dry Etch, Wet Process and making many experiments, my team finished the conversion and improved yield. 
• LAM Striker Carbide new process resistivity improvement: Co-worked with RD in America and changed recipe parameter, which helped me learn more about recipe concept.
  

National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center, Researcher, Jun 2013 ~ Aug 2014

I was sent to Synchrotron Radiation Research Center and applied to use X-ray absorption spectroscopy. When I was there, I worked on my experiments, analyzed the data, and completed my research. Besides, I assisted the researchers there in analyzing experiments. My greatest achievement was the opportunity to analyze data, to solve problems during experiments, and to give oral reports.

The main reason to joined the Summer Work and Travel USA Program was to challenge myself to live in an unfamiliar place and to adapt myself to culture shock, such as language and the working conditions. In my free time, I could plan to travel and enjoyed the life in the foreign country. As for language, I did not have big troubles with English communication. Though it was a little bit difficult to get used to different accents, I had no problem with English communication after 3 months. As to work, I gained praise from my boss for my skills in dealing with stress resistance, communication, and group work, which proved that I could work well in foreign countries.

The Farmhouse

In New Zealand, my job was mainly to assist tour leaders, to help students adapt themselves to the environment, and to solve problems. Each tour last for 23 days, including horse riding, school course, traveling, skiing and camp party at night. I led 14 tours within 2 months, developing strong stress resistance and the ability to rapidly complete tasks. In addition, that the group members helped each other and grew up together made me understand the importance of teamwork.

Teaching English Volunteer Service in Taiwan

In China Youth Corp camp, my job was to lead Chinese students born in America to travel in Taiwan and learn the culture. There were 3 phases during a camp: Phase One was the 2 teaching experiences shared by the English teachers in Taiwan; Phase Two was English courses taught by the students; Phase Three was traveling around Taiwan. Different cultures made a lot of conflicts and threatened team work. Fortunately, after negotiation, everything 2 went well. These camps built up my global vision and helped me realize that effective communication and team work is very important.
