I have over 20 years of experience in the teaching profession. I am devoted to continuously exploring contemporary pedagogical practices within photography and new media. I am a process-based artist who strives to empower students through media art exploration.

Supervise and instruct students in the assigned areas of vocational training and career development
*Maintain students' awareness of industries' employment needs and requirements.
*Instruct students in appropriate job-seeking and retention skills.
*Evaluate students' performance by assessing needs, testing skills and knowledge, and then communicating results to the student; develop, update, and maintain students' training/instructional plans
*Communicate effectively with counselors, administrators, parents, and staff concerning students' progress
and program needs.
*Evaluate, select, develop, and adopt a variety of appropriate instructional materials.
*Promote student and community-wide awareness of the CTE program and recruit students; guide students in making career-related decisions
*Assist students in obtaining externship & employment opportunities.
*Create an atmosphere that promotes diversity and inclusion to foster an equitable learning environment.

The position oversees the selection and training of students for leadership roles within the program. It provides guidance and encouragement of the educational growth of the overall yearbook staff. Students work in a collaborative environment that helps to develop management, organizational skills, photography, digital design, story development, money management, advertising experience, and sales/distribution skills.

Support the District CTE Director in carrying out the District vision.
Bring together strong academics, demanding CTE, and real-world experience to help students gain an
advantage in high school, postsecondary education, and careers.
Support a systematic effort to prepare all students for a full range of postsecondary options that lead to
high demand and high wage vocations-including two & four-year colleges, certification programs,
apprenticeships, military service, or formal job-training.
