Who you are:

• An expert in test-driven development well experienced in agile methodologies
• An expert in data modeling in one or more modern relational databases
• Able to delegate efficiently and have a strong desire to support team missions

What you’ll do:

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
  
• Gather and address technical and design requirements. 
• Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Participate in setting technical standards and best practices for the future back-end team.

Requirements:

• Ability to write clean and effective Golang code and Godoc comments
• Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms
• Knowledge of common Go routine and channel patterns
• Familiarity with github or similar code versioning tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude

Extra credit:

• Experience building social media and/or e-commerce applications
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
• Experience with additional programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP, and Python, and web application frameworks like RoR, Django, METEOR, and EXPRES
• Proven work experience as a Back-end developer
  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
