As a frontend developer, your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working remotely on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, effective and timely communication skills, are also equally important.

Engagement Details:

• Contract length: 1-3 months
• Location: Fully remote
• Expected work hours: more than 30 hrs per week
• Hourly rate: 
  • 400~600TWD/hour for Mid-to-Senior Frontendend Devloper with 1~3 yrs experience w/ React.js
  • 600-800 TWD/hour for Senior Frontend Developer role with 3+ yrs experience w/ React.js
• Communication/Meeting: 
  • Daily progress report on Slack
  • Ad-hoc video calls when needed
  • On-site meetings will be avoided, but we may request it once in a while when we consider it necessary

What you’ll do:

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance
• Help set technical standards and best practices for the future front end team
• Create and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and save time and money

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Expert in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and javascript
• Experience with Next.js
• Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of javascript pre-processing and packaging frameworks such as babel and webpack
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Experience with test-driven development
• Communication Skills with a problem-solving attitude
