What will you help us create?
We are looking for Image Quality Software Engineers to develop new automation test features to propel comprehensive validation tests on the lens, image sensor, ISP, video pipeline and every component that related to image quality. We delight in delivering Ring products with the best image quality to customers.
As an Image Quality Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the image quality tests from various factors from software and hardware components. You will have a significant influence on our core image systems, driving the validation works with proper and efficient algorithms to reduce the development time and costs, to spearhead the best practice that enables the best quality product. In this role, you will need to cooperate with the Amazon global camera hardware teams, image quality tuning teams and software algorithm teams to provide the best validation test program from hardware components to software algorithms. Your challenge will be not only from the digital image system but optics, image sensor to the ISP hardware component in the real world. We need our engineers to be self bar-raiser, also enthusiastic to take on new challenges and problems to be using the logical and efficient methodologies across the full-stack departments.
職務需求
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Optics related technical field or years in relevant practical work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software work experience, including software algorithm development, test, and deployment of the camera image system.
• Experience in C/C++ programming.
• Experience in Matlab libraries.
• Knowledge in Camera Image Quality tools and methods, familiarity with Imatest or similar tools.
• Familiarity with types of IQ artifacts. (noise, blemishes, color errors, etc)
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or relative Engineering technical field.
• Knowledge in the domain of Camera technology and Optics.
• Experience with camera manufacturing and/or lens testing automation in the factory is a plus.
• Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of different image and video file formats and color spaces.
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
• Familiarity with camera and module calibration.
• Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
• Knowledge of automation platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi is a plus.
• Experience in Python/Java coding, as well as shell scripting, is a plus.
