Head of Priority, Banking (opens for expat)

Job Description

Our client is a leading company in Vietnam who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with high-value priority clients, understanding their financial needs, goals, and risk profiles. Provide personalized banking and investment advice to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers or Advisors who are responsible for serving priority clients. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent service delivery, client satisfaction, and achievement of performance targets.
  • Oversee the priority client portfolio, monitoring the performance of accounts, identifying opportunities for growth, and managing risks effectively. Collaborate with other departments, such as wealth management and lending, to provide comprehensive financial solutions to priority clients.
  • Drive revenue growth by cross-selling and upselling banking products and services to priority clients.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the client base and increase market share through effective sales strategies.
  • Ensure high-quality service standards are maintained for priority clients, resolving escalated issues and complaints promptly and efficiently. Continuously assess and enhance service processes and procedures to improve client experience and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management guidelines.
  • Monitor and mitigate operational, credit, and reputational risks associated with the priority client portfolio.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities related to priority banking.
  • Utilize market insights to develop strategies that differentiate the bank's priority offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Foster effective collaboration and communication with internal departments, such as product development, marketing, operations, and technology, to align priorities, deliver integrated solutions, and drive business growth.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the performance of the priority banking division.
  • Generate regular reports, analyze data, and present insights to senior management to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and support decision-making.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in private banking, wealth management, or a similar field, with a proven track record of successfully managing high-net-worth clients. Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and services, investment products, wealth management, and lending. Familiarity with financial markets, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a high-performance culture. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to engage with clients effectively and stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of client needs, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships. Ability to provide customized financial solutions and investment advice based on individual client requirements.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, cross-selling, and upselling. Strong business acumen and market awareness to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Sound understanding of risk management principles, compliance requirements, and the ability to assess and mitigate risks associated with high-value client portfolios.
  • Proficient in data analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting. Ability to interpret market trends, identify patterns, and make informed decisions based on data insights.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive client information. Adhere to regulatory guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and priorities.
