We Are Cooby

We're an early-stage startup founded in 2020 by two ex-Facebookers based in Taipei, Taiwan. After 8 years of career, they want to bring back the culture of Silicon Valley to Taiwan, so they have Cooby - a highly freedom and transparency company with a whole team built in Taiwan and targeting the international market.

Bring visibility to business messaging

We believe the product should be based on users’ pain points, digging it and solving them. Since the product launch in July 2021, a chrome extension on WhatsApp Web, we have users in 84+ countries, with 86% of surveyed users either happy or extremely happy, and we’re working to raise that. We also create a workspace for enterprises, which is a tool for the sales manager to track their sales team. We got over 10 potential users since Jan 2022.

Funded by Sequoia, Pear VC, Hustle Fund, etc, our mission is to: which will help companies to turn messaging from a grey-zone tactic into a secret weapon for modern sales teams.

Your Role

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be responsibilities will include building the most important product of the company, owning key features, and driving initiatives. You will collaborate with other teams, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

What You'll Do

• Implement the features and user interfaces of Cooby product for web (React)
• Work closely with designers as well as the backend to drive and deliver on our product roadmap, turning rough specs into features
• Find elegant solutions to usability problems
• Contribute to high-level product/ process strategic decisions

Who We're Looking For (Requirements)

• 2+ years of HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
• Experienced in React
• Knowledgeable about modern web technologies and excited to learn new ones
• Product minded: committed to building the best user experience
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment
• Proficient in English reading & writing
