Job Description

The Group powers over US$3.5 billion in annual sales for over 10,000 online and in-store merchant partners. In 2022, ShopBack launched ShopBack Pay and PayLater, extending the platform's offerings into financial services, providing shoppers responsible and convenient payment options at checkout.

This will be a 6 months contract role.

Responsibilities
- Lead the analytics and storytelling from the insights, being a strategic thinking partner of CPGs:
- Architect, analyst, and storyteller to drive data-actionable insights enabling the optimization of campaigns and brand performance within the ShopBack platform
- Drive the interpretation of the results to go beyond ‘what’ and identify ‘why’ and ‘how’ to solve
- Complex analytical results converted into simple & succinct stories
- Develop business hypotheses collaboratively with commercial team (business development, account management, marketing) with expertise in analytics methodology
- Apply quantitative techniques to mine massive amounts of data and extract impactful insights that influence the strategy for CPG or Retail industry
- Active collaboration with the rest of the commercial team to develop business-ready insights & presentation that drive potential partnerships

- Own the performance analytics within Product:
- Analyse and report the business performance: monitor key metrics and identify critical pain points or potential opportunities
- Partner with the management and cross-functional teams to deep dive on core issues and problem-solve via a data-driven approach
- Build & manage self-help dashboards
- Partner with the Data team on the ideation of metrics and report to provide better insights on business performance and campaign performance

Requirements

- 5 - 8+ years of insights & analytics
- Solid analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL or other querying languages
- Hands-on experience in building data-driven models and dashboards
- Strong business acumen, with ability to articulate analyses and translate to actionable business insights
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Problem-solver - forward thinking and ability to solve problems independently
- Proficiency in reading Traditional Chinese language due to primary market served (Taiwan)
- Enjoys the pace of work that a start-up offers
- (Preferred) Experience in business, strategy, and/or tech consulting
- (Preferred) Experience delivering marketing communication, technology, or data-driven solutions in the CPG or Retail industry
- (Preferred) Experience driving analyses using both traditional data (e.g. transactional) and digital data (e.g. app user journeys)
