With 14+ years of experience in mechanical design for electronic products, I have led 5 NB projects from RFQ to MP and participated in designing more than 15 products including NB/Tablet/TV/Monitor.  My experience covers coordination and communication with cross functional teams and clients, controlling the schedule and quality, managing members to complete tasks and optimizing the product to thinnest and lightest with cost considered. 3. Negotiate with suppliers to reduce quotation 25% for video conference products.
4. Manage 80+ mechanical suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.


1.  Complete 2 EDU NB using PCR resin to pass difficult test 
    including water-proof, FFD and hinge cycling.
2. Study commercial NB proposal with 360 degree hinge and 
    Touch panel with small room.
3. Optimize consumer NB with narrow Bezel to meet ID 
    requirement.
4.  Discuss and communicate with clients regarding mechanical 
     design including structure, issue, test and cost.


Mechanical supervisor (Design Manager)

1.  Lead team members to complete the design of lightest Tablet 
    which is cost competitive.
2. Innovate Touch mode NB comprises Arm type, Rotary type and 
    Double-slide type.
3. Phase in E-peat NB to help client acquire better brand image. 
4. Accomplish the design of first Touch NB across ODMs.


Mechanical supervisor (Design Leader)

1.  RFQ proposal study and detail design plastic and metal 
    structure. 
2. Tooling tryout, issue debug, test result discussion with cross 
    function teams to ensure the design is workable.
3. Studying the feedback from factory and improve production 
    efficiency. 
4. Tolerance analysis, DFX review, weight analysis.
