As the owner of IPA Construction and Platinum Group Advisors in Benicia, California, Darrick Chavis oversees a range of residential and commercial construction, development, and value-add property investment projects. In addition to holding a contractor’s license, Darrick Chavis is a real estate investor and certified probate sales professional who holds a master’s degree from California State University, East Bay. Over the years, he has received a range of awards from various San Francisco Bay Area cities as well as a 2018 “Landlord of the Year” honor from the State of California. Outside of the real estate sector, Darrick Chavis has a long history of success on the basketball court. He played college basketball at the University of Louisville. In his prime, Mr. Chavis was renowned for his explosive scoring ability and his standalone ability. He briefly played overseas but was forced into early retirement due to injuries. He continues to play today as a member of the IPA traveling basketball team.
