Antineoplastic drugs like Lorviqua are used to treat cancer. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells, which in turn prompts the body to eliminate the cells. Lorlatinib is the active component that can be found in Lorviqua. A very uncommon form of lung cancer known as anaplastic lymphoma kinase lung cancer can be treated with Lorviqua. This kind of lung cancer is caused by errors in a gene known as anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK).
