Dr. John Froiland has served as a professor of Educational Psychology at Purdue University in West Lafayette for the past five years. During the course of his prolific career, he has served as an example to countless students and professionals who want to pursue a career in psychology. He has published more than 65 articles and book chapters covering a wide variety of topics ranging from psychology and psychiatry to human development.

Dr. John Froiland Collaborates with Other Universities to Motivate Students
A team approach is also important to Dr. John Froiland. To examine the reasons for student involvement and motivation, he has partnered with the Universities of Notre Dame, Illinois, and Berkeley. Academic improvement is more likely when students have intrinsic motivation. To inspire more students to be interested in their education, Dr. John Froiland has undertaken various research studies.

Dr. John Froiland also knows how important it is to work as part of a team to achieve research goals. He has worked with the University of Notre Dame (ND), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) to find out why students are engaged and motivated in different ways. When students want to do better in school because they want to, they are more likely to get more out of school. Dr. John Froiland has worked on many projects that look at why some students are more interested in their education than others and what needs to be done to get more students interested.
