Responsible for various projects, mostly related to migration and worth several million euros, including Deputy Team Leader of the Monitoring and Learning System (MLS) for the Horn of Africa and Sahel & Lake Chad windows of the EUTF (European Union Emergency Trust Fund for stability and addressing root causes of irregular migration and displaced persons in Africa). At any given time, manage team of approx. 15 consultants and project managers.

Acted principally as Deputy Chief of Staff (with frequent periods as Acting Chief of Staff) for a peacekeeping mission of 10,000 staff (including military, police and civilian) and, as such, was responsible for the overall coordination of the missions’ work; managing staff; contributing to strategic leadership; drafting key documents; liaising and encouraging coordination with multiple partners; leading ad hoc emergency missions; participating in crisis management etc.

Various positions at the United Nations in New York (2006-2011 and 2014) and Côte d'Ivoire (at the peacekeeping mission UNOCI 2011-2012) with growing levels of responsibility. Among others, was picked in 2014 to work in Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's office, part of a small team (6 professionals) coordinating, reviewing, vetting and approving all political, peacekeeping, human rights and humanitarian-related information going to and from the Secretary-General. Prior to that, worked in the Office of the ASG for Rule of Law and Security Institutions of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) for two years and as Special Assistant to the Director of the Africa II Division of DPKO for two years. Main responsibilities in both roles included: drafting, reviewing and editing daily strategic and operational correspondence; ensure coordination between units; managing human resources; ensuring smooth day to day organisation of the office.

Supervised consulting and research projects for clients including NATO, several UN agencies and major development agencies; directing and selling projects, participating in day to day management of company. Organized the first nationwide surveys in Afghanistan's 34 provinces (8500 quantitative interviews and 200 qualitative interviews, requiring a team of 80 interviewers and inputs from twenty other staff members).
