A passion of Major Morrow since retiring from active duty in 2007 has been volunteer work with veterans groups. Since learning adaptive skiing five years ago, Major Morrow has gained skills as an advanced, independent ski biker. He has skied across the country, from California to New Hampshire. In 2017, he earned the distinction of being the first amputee adaptive ski biker to take the Poma lift to the Cirque at 12,510 feet at Snowmass Ski Resort in Colorado. He accomplished this unique feat on two consecutive days. Another touchstone in Major Morrow’s life was his membership with the Boy Scouts of America. He is an Eagle Scout with Silver Palm and as a scout, served as a patrol leader for two years as well as Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmsster.
