DESIGN ENGINEER

-Prepare and reviews engineering design documentation including P&ID’s, technical datasheets, mechanical fabrication drawings, vendor supplied drawings and design review.
-Create new equipment designs and/or modify existing system designs with a focus upon lower cost, improved manufacturability, increased product performance, and higher overall product quality.
-Specify, analyze and design mechanical components and sub-systems with a focus on simplicity and manufacturability.
-Preparation of fabrication, assembly drawings for packaged equipment, engineering calculations.
-3D modelling using Creo, for assembly and piping design of skid packages.
-Prepare & check materials take-offs and bill of materials.
-Review of vendor drawings for Sub-Equipment / Package items
-Coordinate project implementation with vendors, facility engineering, project engineering and production teams.
-Manage drawings and records to demonstrate procedural compliance with QA activities for internal reviews
-Preparation of Plot Plans in accordance with Project requirements and standards.
-Prepare 2D equipment layout, piping layout, general arrangement drawings, piping isometrics and detail drawings using Autocad.
-Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
-Preparation of proposal & concept drawings.

- Prepare design execution plans which include demonstrating the project scope, major project milestone schedule, project estimation cost and project implementation strategy
-Preparation and checking of all types of Piping or Layout design deliverables such as General Arrangement Drawings, Mechanical Package Drawings, 3D Models in creo, Piping Arrangement Drawings, Piping Isometrics, Material Take-Offs etc.
-3D modelling using Creo, for piping design of skid packages.

Check (compare drawing vs. model), clean-up/ simplify and import supplier models in overall system 3D-model.
-Create detailed piping models (incl. offskid interconnecting piping), pipe spool fabrication drawings, and design associated piping supports.
- Reviews work schedules/plans, identifies opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, maximize use of resources, etc.
- Ensures all activities are in line with industry and company engineering standards
- Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
-Creates and maintains product specifications utilizing Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.
-Create assemblies to ensure fit to mating parts
-Undertake design calculations and selection of proper materials for release of Specifications as well as attached documentation to procurement.
-Responsible for generation of piping isometric drawings and piping design packages
- Attends the Weekly Progress Meetings Internal as well as with Client and assist in preparation of Minutes Of Meetings
- Coordinates materials and assists in the logistics, its shipment and receipt
