Richard Roche - Athletics Coach and Education Professional
Based in Flemington, New Jersey, Richard Roche has served as a basketball coach for over three decades. He was the head basketball coach/assistant athletic director at Hobart College from 1997 to 2006, managing the Hobart basketball program and leading the teams to numerous successes and first-time achievements. Richard Roche also served as the district athletics director for Lindenhurst Public Schools in New York. Most recently, he oversaw the athletic and sports medicine programs as the director of athletics at Lawrenceville, New Jersey-based Notre Dame High School.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Roche was an assistant basketball coach at Villanova University, State University at Farmingdale, and the New York Institute of Technology. He also taught students social studies at Saint Anthony's High School and coached the boys’ basketball team.
Mr. Roche holds a master’s degree in education from Villanova University. He has been named coach of the year multiple times by national and local sports organizations.
