Takashi Cheng - Co-founder of Society 1, Los Angeles
An experienced executive based in Pasadena, California, Takashi Cheng holds multiple degrees from UCLA, where he began his entrepreneurship. During his time as a student, he sought different streams of income from side gigs and soon amassed enough clientele to spread the opportunities to other starving students. He has since served as a company founder and leader. In April 2019, Takashi Cheng co-founded Society 1, an exclusive membership club in Los Angeles. In his role as a board member, Mr. Cheng oversees activities at the club and works with other board members to expand the organization by identifying strategic real estate assets and brand alignments. The club has received recognition and support for its achievements and philanthropic efforts. Takashi Cheng is also the CEO of Golden TV, a Pasadena streaming service focused on the Asian-American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. He is a board member of several charitable groups, including Children Mending Hearts and Project Angel Food, and supports the Methodist Hospital Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In his free time, Mr. Cheng enjoys karaoke and writing scripts for movies and TV shows.
