Dear Sir/Madam, 

I am Ya-Fang Hsiao, a graduate of National Taiwan Normal University with a major in Library and Information Science. My academic journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in reference services, public services, and computer information. 

During my undergraduate years, I engaged in practical experiences, including an internship at Taipei Public Jian-Cheng Branch Library in 2008. Additionally, I embraced the opportunity to serve as a librarian at the Chinese Taipei School Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia during the summer of 2012. This international exposure, catering to students from kindergarten to senior high, allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting and broadened my global perspective. 

Following my graduation, I dedicated time to enhance my English proficiency. In the spring of 2016, I studied in New Zealand and worked as a waitress in a seafood restaurant, fostering communication skills and building connections with people from diverse backgrounds. This experience not only improved my English communication but also honed my problem-solving abilities and adaptability in different situations. 

In September 2016, I joined the National Academy for Educational Research, gaining over two years of experience in project management and one year in digital textbook research. My strengths lie in project management planning, monitoring, and controlling project work schedules. 

Since May 1st, 2019, I have been working at Taipei Medical University Library, where my responsibilities include maintaining and updating the SCI/SSCI research competitiveness system, English translation for the library's new website, and providing assistance in reference services and English-guided tours for foreign teachers on campus. Excited and ready to embrace new challenges, I am eager to contribute to the success of Taipei Medical University Library. 

In my current role as an academic communication librarian since August 2022, I oversee Open Access academic communication, manage BMC and ACS submission discounts, and coordinate promotional events for the academic communication lecture series to enhance Taipei Medical University's research visibility. 

In conclusion, my diverse experiences, coupled with my educational background, have prepared me for success in the field of education.
