Completing the Emmy-Award winning B.F.A. in Communication Design from the New York City College of Technology is an honor for me. I'm interested in applying a creative process that combines the visual arts and technology to communicate ideas through web design.
Thanks to having strong presentations skills I earned a scholarship with Break Through Tech formerly known as WiTNY (Women in Technology & Entrepreneurship in New York) on Cornell Tech in 2017-2018. Thanks to the workshop presented to over 200 students called "From class diagram to API server with LoopBack.io and Node.js" in the CUNY Hackathon Fall 2017. This presentation was made with the support of the IBM Watson Cloud City Team with which I learned hands on about web services and technical skills such as REST APIs, Agile Development, design thinking, Loopback.io, Ionic and many more.
As a Computer Science major in La Guardia, I was able get hands on experience with several programming skills to develop, deploy, test, and demo a variety of mobile applications, websites, and computer Software which allowed me to make a proactive impact in my community. For example, working in teams with a professor and two other students we developed an Application named "USafe" that acts as a mobile house security system for people in dangerous situations.
The professors in La Guardia made sure I graduated with a strong foundation on algorithms and data structures, as well as to apply these techniques to develop applications to serve customers in the most innovative and reliable way possible.
In the time as a Communications major, I was able to gain strong presentation skills and to communicate effectively in different scenarios nd how to apply it to fields like media, law, and business.
Received the honor of performing several live exhibitions on national TV as a presenter and confidently carried introductory speeches for modeling companies.
