Strategic Marketing - Innovation and Digital Transformation manager

Defined methodologies and tools to analyze emerging technologies trends, customer needs, customer behaviors and to deploy digital transformation plans. Set priorities for business technology investments, aligning stakeholders around common KPI's. Also responsible to find new products/services from innovative startups that could leverage Poste Italiane's product line (particularly focused on blockchain and AI). Some of the projects I worked on were presented directly to board members (eg. a direct remittance service from Italy to Romania through the use of blockchain). Chose as agile ambassador and digital evangelist within the company, trying to build a critical mass towards new and smarter ways of working.

Linkem S.p.A. is an Italian telecommunications company specializing in wireless broadband connection (LTE, Hyperlan, WiMax and Wi-Fi). The company has a network of wholly owned subsidiaries with 1,200 antennas (BTS) located throughout Italy, providing Internet connectivity to surrounding areas. With more than 500.000 customers, Linkem network is an alternative to traditional telecommunications networks, allowing signal transmission to areas that lack cellular connectivity.

Head of Digital 

Responsible of the entire web presence of the company and new customer acquisition through digital channels: web site, ecommerce, digital advertising, aggregators and social media. 

  • Redesigned ecommerce customer experience on Linkem’s website. Achieved + 100% of web sales 
  • Digital marketing plan definition and roll out (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, retargeting, affiliation, video seeding) Developed from the scratch new communication channels for the company in order to reach a larger number of potential customers as well as to build a positive attitude towards the company’s services being sold. Achieved +60% of social engagement through focused activities on social channels 
  • Planned and developed social media strategy on Facebook and Twitter (direct contact with supplier) 
  • Developed social CRM channel to support customers through social networks

Technical Business Development / IT Manager

In charge of finding new business opportunities for Linkem’s products. Particularly focused on commercial solutions that could be built on top of the wireless connectivity. For some of the proposed services I reported directly to board members with quantitative data regarding potential market share, technical effectiveness, and possible company performance growth. Managed about 20 people spread between Rome and Bari. 

Main projects included: 

  • VoIP: Project responsible. Suppliers scouting, implementation and commercialization of VoIP service over WiMAX 
  • CRM: Project coordinator. Coordination of a dedicated team whose main objective was to deploy and rollout a brand new CRM software for the company. Direct contracts with suppliers, internal customers (backoffice and marketing) and rollout coordination (babysitting)  
  • Designed and developed the WiMAX distribution architecture to the final customers 
  • Coordinated and directed the deployment of the access platform based on AAA using advanced methods such as One Time Password and SIM authentication 
  • Performed competitor analysis, in progress analysis and final reporting for vendors tenders 
  • Developed a custom tailored ecommerce infrastructure (PHP + MySQL) which allowed the company to sell products online through major payment gateways Scouted potential Partners and solutions to develop the business

Technical Business Development / IT Manager

In charge of finding new business opportunities for Linkem’s products. Particularly focused on commercial solutions that could be built on top of the wireless connectivity. For some of the proposed services I reported directly to board members with quantitative data regarding potential market share, technical effectiveness, and possible company performance growth. Managed about 20 people spread between Rome and Bari. 

Main projects included: 

  • VoIP: Project responsible. Suppliers scouting, implementation and commercialization of VoIP service over WiMAX 
  • CRM: Project coordinator. Coordination of a dedicated team whose main objective was to deploy and rollout a brand new CRM software for the company. Direct contracts with suppliers, internal customers (backoffice and marketing) and rollout coordination (babysitting)  
  • Designed and developed the WiMAX distribution architecture to the final customers 
  • Coordinated and directed the deployment of the access platform based on AAA using advanced methods such as One Time Password and SIM authentication 
  • Performed competitor analysis, in progress analysis and final reporting for vendors tenders 
  • Developed a custom tailored ecommerce infrastructure (PHP + MySQL) which allowed the company to sell products online through major payment gateways Scouted potential Partners and solutions to develop the business

Mp3italia has been the very first italian web site about the world of MP3's, featuring articles, and providing the first web based MP3 search engine

  • E-netshop srl: Co-Founder of a platform whose target was to create a mall where shop owners would be able to show off and sell their products using our website.
  • Anapia Lazio: Computer teacher for disabled people. Held about 800 hours of computer science class. 
  • Freelancer: developed several web projects for SME based on the most sophisticated technologies ready at the moment (mainly PHP, MySQL and Java).

Social experiences: I have been a scout master for over 6 years at AGESCI and FSE. I volunteered c/o center of temporary stay for immigrants (CPT) in Lecce as well as in S. Alessio blind hospital. Served as a volunteer in Nairobi (Kenya) slums.
