Responsibilities:

As an Embedded Software Developer, you'll be a key player in software development, focusing on building, testing, and deploying software for our embedded payments platforms. Collaboration is essential, involving teams from hardware manufacturing to Android app development and external vendors for hardware selection.

Key Tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and underlying functionality for embedded point-of-sale software, ensuring secure payment processing across multiple products.
• Implement industry-standard protocols to match product capabilities.
• Conduct routine code reviews, contribute to system-side code, and collaborate on kernel development.
• Engage with global teams, providing support information and proactively solving problems independently or within a team.
• Work closely with QA staff to ensure test case creation, maintenance, and execution.

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience with embedded, mobile, or connected devices.
• Proficiency in embedded programming languages (C, C++, Rust).
• Experience with automated testing, build systems, or device firmware communication.
• Degree in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of communication protocols (Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, USB), debugging practices, and basic electrical design principles.
• Ability to read schematics and work with microcontrollers.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
