做對; 也要同進退－BD & PM in SaaS

PM 的任務是帶領工程團隊, 並以爲公司創造長期 product-led growth 為第一優先; BD 身在公司面對客戶的第一線, 大部分時候都在為了各種當下急迫需求奔波－看似互相矛盾的任務, 使得很多 PM 和 BD 之間沒辦法維持良好的互動。

很幸運我在工作過程中認識了交心的 PM, 也學會了解產品端的任務、考量和盲點。今天想簡單分享身為 BD, 如何在反饋市場訊息的同時, 讓 PM 感到「同進退」的能量:

1. 將客戶反饋數據化, 避免客戶說什麼就丟給 PM

把冗長的敘述拆分為最小單位的字詞、做好分類、紀錄是多少時間內/從多少個客戶身上獲得, 幫助 PM 了解反饋的根源和急迫性。

2. 提出 idea 前, 先做好市場調查

BD 透過每天和客戶接觸, 很容易迸出對於產品的新穎想法, 但任何的 idea 都要有明確的市場需求、商務潛力才有被實現的理由。幫助 PM 節省不必要的時間、人力浪費。

3. 成為 PM 的顧問, 知無不答

多傾聽 PM 對於市場的假設, 並且積極輔助 PM 完成腦中對於市場的拼圖跟規劃。
