He has worked with the University of Notre Dame (ND), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and the University of California at Berkeley (UC Berkeley) to find out why students are engaged and motivated in different ways. When students want to do better in school because they want to, they are more likely to get more out of school. Dr. John Froiland has worked on many projects that look at why some students are more interested in their education than others and what needs to be done to get more students interested.
