SUMMARY
Kelly is an Emmy Award-winning former investigative journalist and videographer and an expert at visual and brand communications, public relations and client management. He founded Guenther Group after leaving KING-TV, creating brand stories for clients as varied as Microsoft, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Starbucks. He introduced video disruptor Shootsta to North America in 2017, landing their first 7 enterprise clients and then lead all on-air and video trainings, managed freelance creatives and was responsible for Shootsta's North American image.

Communications Director
Kelly leads Guenther Group providing content creation, PR and brand strategy for some of the leading brands in the world, including Starbucks, Microsoft, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW Medicine, Valley Medical Center, Premera Insurance, Comcast, Vulcan, Fred Hutch Cancer Research and Seattle City Light among others. Other duties include spokesperson work for clients in crisis situations and strategic brand messaging and execution.
North America Video Specialist
Kelly established this global video disruptor in North American and landed over 7 of their first enterprise clients. He served as their senior video expert, managed Shootsta's freelance network of creatives, trained all new clients in North America and was the go-to cinematographer and director for difficult client projects. Duties also included brand management, thought leadership in the corporate video space, and conducting seminars for public relations and other communications groups.
Investigative Producer
Managed the investigative unit of the NBC affiliate KING-TV. Responsible for award-winning high profile investigations that sometimes took months to execute and lead to Emmy-nominated journalism work. Responsible for all work generated by the investigative unit. Advised newsroom managers on legal risk of certain stories.

Recognized as a senior reporter with duties covering the most complicated stories and series. Multiple communications awards, Emmy nominations and Emmy Award for investigative reporting and photography.

Managed PR and communications for this environmental and public policy firm and served as spokesperson for multiple clients. Executed visual marketing campaigns for clients in the recycling and waste management fields, lobbied state legislatures and shaped messaging for the Port of Seattle's Third Runway expansion and growth of port terminal operations. Earned multiple advertising, public relations and communications awards.
