The structural steel throttle valve is locked with 1W heat parts. The outside is in contact with 20℃ and other surface are insulated. What is the highest fluid temperature inside the valve? What is the maximum total deformation? What is the natural frequency of the modality?
Sol: Setting 1W heat flow on the valve lock surface and through the optimisation analysis, the internal maximum temperature can withstand 39.71℃ and the external minimum temperature is 39.15℃. The maximum total deformation is 0.13mm which occurs at the thinnest bottom but the safety factor is still within 1 at safe range.
In addition, 6 modal analysis results(598.85Hz、702.86Hz、924.08Hz、1140.2Hz、1307.3Hz、1371.4Hz) were set. The change in flow rate and temperature were observed by the natural frequency of the throttle valve and found that the 3,4 and 5 groups of modal are prone to stress concentration at the same location, which can be used as a reference for strutural design of weight reduction or reinforcement to avoid resonance through external force.
