PURPOSE and SCOPE OF THE JOB
Through the Green Futures Program, Greenpeace aims to engage with and inspire a young generation to conserve our planet and to develop their leadership potential. We aim to develop an interactive online-and-offline program to work with high school students, providing practical experiences and adaptable courses. The purpose is to motivate learners to become advocates for conservation and sustainability and to make changes in their everyday life that reflect these values.
The Green Futures Program is new to Greenpeace East Asia. A series of online courses will be provided to our newly joined youth supporters, guiding them through a journey of stories about our climate and its global emergency. The offline program will be a series of learning materials that will involve learners in a more engaging experience on climate issues, which will involve other Greenpeace teams.
The Project Leader will lead and manage a small team to coordinate digital and offline products for the Community Outreach team and the fundraising team. These educational products will be aimed at high school students. The Project Leader will also coordinate cross-departmental communications.
This position collaborates closely with the Community Outreach team under the Program Department and reports to the Deputy Program Director or designate.
