Job Description

Position: Operation Manager

As a member of the local management team, the Operation Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing service and commissioning processes.

Key tasks include:

  • Daily planning and coordination of operations.
  • Providing training and guidance to technicians.
  • Coordinating spare part deliveries.
  • Managing stock of spare parts delivered to Taiwan.
  • Implementing, developing, and continuously improving the global service strategy in the APAC region.
  • Ensuring compliance with global Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of performed jobs.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Seasight Davits' values.

In addition to the above, the Operation Manager will be assigned other coordination tasks and responsibilities based on their skills and the company's evolving needs.

Management Tasks:

The Operation Manager will be responsible for the following management tasks:

  • Hiring and firing of technicians in collaboration with the regional director.
  • Conducting employment development activities, including performance reviews.
  • Conducting behavioural correction interviews.
  • Reviewing budgets in collaboration with the regional director.
  • Competencies, Professional/Personal Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Operation Manager position should possess the following competencies:

  • High level of technical understanding.
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience.
  • Experience working in an international environment with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Proven experience in process optimization.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Dedication to streamlining the daily operation of service teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with direct customer contact.
  • Strong operational understanding.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

The Operation Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with quality requirements and standards.
  • Ensuring that internal and external deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Fostering constructive collaboration within the department, with project managers, and customers.
  • Taking responsibility for the working environment, environmental considerations, and quality management system compliance.

Authority:

The Operation Manager will have the authority to make decisions within the defined level of responsibility as per company policy. This includes the authority to hire and fire employees in collaboration with the regional director.
