After I graduated from Departement of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra (USU) Medan in 1995, I started my career in Plantations through Management Training Program, as Assistant Manager until as Division Manager (1997 - 2012) at the multinational company PT. Goodyear Sumatera Rubber Estate and PT. Bridgestone Sumatra Rubber Estate which is very disciplined in standardizing quality, environment and work safety with international standards. I also attended the informal of Middle Plantation Management Course (KMPM) at the LPP Kampus Medan for 1 month at 2005 and attended Plantation Seminars and Training, Plantation Labor Dispute Resolution, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS , SMK3 and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) at local, national dan international levels.
Since 2012 until now, I was mostly worked on new plantation development projects for rubber, oil palm plantations and forestry in Jambi, South Sumatra, East Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, with high levels of social conflict and sub-standard human resource skill.

Professional Planters Journey
After I graduated from Departement of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra (USU) Medan in 1995, I passed selection to take part in the Training Assistant Program at PT. Goodyear Sumatra Plantation in Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra from October 1997 to February 1999. I also attended the informal of Middle Plantation Management Course (KMPM) at the LPP Kampus Medan for 1 month at 2005 and attended Plantation Seminars and Training, Plantation Labor Dispute Resolution, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS , SMK3 and Continuous Improvemen (Kaizen) at local, national dan international levels.
My career as a planter began in 1997 when I was accepted to work at PT. Goodyear Sumatra Plantation in the Simalungun area of North Sumatra and assigned as Assistant Sub Division G - Division II Dolok Merangir covering an area of 1105 hectares consisting of 750 hectares of Mature area and 355 hectares of Immature area. In 2002 I was transferred to Sub Division L - Division IV Dolok Ulu, in 2005 I was transferred to Sub Division B - Division I Naga Raja, In 2008 I was transferred to Sub Division AT - Division V Aek Tarum and in 2011 I was promoted to Division Manager Division III Dolok Ulu. During his tenure as Assistant Sub Division and Division Manager, every year, he achieved the production targets determined through Team collaboration and the innovations that we carried out.
In February 2012 I joined one of the rubber plantation companies, PT. Malaka Agro Perkasa, Harum Agro Group, located in Muara Bungo Jambi Regency with a concession permit covering an area of 28,000 hectares. I succeeded in compiling SOPs, building my own seedlings, refining the entres garden 100% and freeing up 7500 hectares of land which had been claimed by the local community.
I wanted to learn more about the commodity of oil palm, in May 2013 I accepted the challenge as Plantation Controller of Rubber and Oil Palm at First Resources Ltd, West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. While at First Resources Ltd, I managed to build my own rubber nursery 100% and opened 2 oil palm plantations which so far could not be opened due to land conflicts.
Due to family considerations, I decided to accept the offer as General Manager of rubber and oil palm plantations at PT. Buana Sriwijaya Sejahtera which is located in Musi Rawas Utara, South Sumatra in February 2015. While at PT. My BSS succeeded in increasing production by 200%, freeing claim area of 2500 hectares and rationalizing supervisors as needed.
May 2017 I joined Bima Palma Group as Head of Business Unit PT. Bima Agri Sawit located in Karangan, Kutai Timur, Esat Kalimantan to manages a plantation area of 6102 hectares and 1 PKS with a processing capacity of 30 tons per hour. The task and responsibility assigned to me was to settle a claim of 1400 hectares and increase the throughput of a very low factory. I succeeded in clearing claim land and increasing Mill throughput to 33 tons per hour through increasing FFB production in nucleus and plasma plantations after completion of land claims and FFB purchases from surrounding communities and increasing OER from 21% to 24% through improved harvest management to increase FFB quality.
In December 2018 Bima Palma Group was acquired by DSN Group and I got an offer to join MSAL Group as General manager of PT. Persada Sejahtera Agro Makmur in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. My duties and responsibilities are to build a garden covering an area of 11,800 hectares from an already planted area of 6,293 hectares and 1 factory with a capacity of 45 tons per hour. I succeeded in acquiring new land and claiming land as well as planting an area of 2,750 hectares and building a 50% Mill capacity 45 Tons per hour.
I accepted a new challenge to work in Sinarmas Forestry on December 2019 as Regional Head Plantation for East Kalimantan with a concession area of 140000 hectares with Eucalyptus and Accacia commodities on mineral and peat land. Responsible for land preparation, planting, upkeep and harvest preparation. In 2020, planting 18000 hectares of the target of 20000 hectares due to problems with the availability of seeds due to cylindro attacks.
From July 2020 until now working at Kencana Agri Ltd in Area 3 Kutai which consists of PT. Sawit Kaltim Lestari Palm 5.181 Has, PT. Agro Tirta Kencana 10,843 Has, PT. Agri Eastborneo Kenca 7,782 Has (total area 23,805 Has) and 2 Mills with a capacity of 45 Tons/Hour. While working at Kencana Agri Ltd, he was able to build a strong and solid team, improve harvest management and care for oil palm plants, conduct recruitment and supervision training programs through the BMDP program batch 1 at Kencana Agri Ltd, resolve community plasma problems, curb theft to zero percent, improving the proper rating from red to green and improving good relations with all stakeholders
